This seems to be the first Harley dealership to accept Bitcoin as a payment option for customers. The header of Old Road Harley Davidson’s website clearly states they accept Bitcoin as a payment option, which is awesome!
The Harley Dealership is located in Southern California near McLaren Newport Beach, another Bitcoin automotive merchant. We previously shared the recent news that McLaren Newport Beach was accepting Bitcoin via Bitpay as a payment method.
As the value of Bitcoin continues to rise and reach record highs, it is not surprising that automotive dealers, especially those specializing in vehicles for hobby and leisure are accepting Bitcoin as a payment method as there’s a growing demand for users looking to spend their cryptocurrency profits.
It is also not surprising these dealers are located in Southern California. Many Southern California residents have discretionary income to invest in Bitcoin, as well as, to purchase high end, luxury vehicles for leisure purposes.
Tech savvy residents and being around other likeminded individuals who support blockchain startups and cryptocurrency is another perk of living in Southern California.
As the cryptocurrency industry continues to make its way into the mainstream and it becomes something that not just those with discretionary income invest in, perhaps other dealerships, including those not specializing in luxury vehicles, will jump onboard and the movement will spread outside of Southern California and similar markets.
