What attracted you to digital currency?

After missing the initial Bitcoin boom I jumped into Doge Coin mining in 2014. I was intrigued with converting hardware power into digital assets. I always enjoyed tinkering with various hardware configurations and this gave me a chance to do something completely different. I built my first mining rig about 3 years ago and recently have upgraded to mine more mainstream coins.

What’s your digital currency investment strategy?

Right now i’m invested in a few coins with Ethereum and Decred being two of the primary outside of BTC. Since I mine and also invest on the side I have stuck with a few coins that I follow daily. Research is a main component of any strategy and I continuously read and keep up with current tech and news.

Alt coins have also been a main focus recently with so much buzz in the industry. I am looking to take some small positions in these coins as future growth of this type of currency is almost inevitable.

What do you see in the future for Ethereum?

Ethereum has been growing rapidly, at the beginning of the year we saw its value at around $8-10. Seven months later we have hit the $350 mark. It has some clear advantages over Bitcoin such as much faster data processing. It’s a good time for investors to get in on a great crypto coin. The price has stabilized recently and I foresee some steady growth over the next year.

What’s your favorite thing about this industry?

I love everything tech and this is a tech driven industry. On one hand you can get directly involved in the creation of Cryptocurrency on the other you can just be an outside investor. It pools together all different types of mindsets from the basement tech guy up to the high end investor. There is space in this industry for just about anyone to get involved with. Watching the world change is rather amazing I must say. The move away from centralized banking systems has been on the rise and Cryptocurrency is at the helm.

What’s one piece of advice you can share with others?

Don’t give up. If you believe in what you do and are willing to work hard for it you can achieve just about anything. There will be many failures and setbacks along the way and you might even lose a friend or two. Stay focused and keep working at it.

If it’s never been done before find a way to do it, if it has been done before make it better. Relationships and communication are key. Treat every customer like they are your family. Build integrity into your business. Honesty is a must and it goes a long way.

Don’t focus only on short term gains when trying to build a sustainable business keep your eye on the end-game.
