Willy Codoni is a 28-year-old guy with good prospects for his future, also a musical artist for passion since 2007, he began his studies at a Swiss Business school from 2005 to 2010 and then continued, from 2014 to 2016, at a specialized high school of IT management. After his studies he gained 5 months of experience as an analyst and web programmer at the Swiss National Supercomputing Center.

In early 2016, he feels that he has to take his own path to go beyond his capabilities. Taken from his own initiative, he begins to develop 3D games for PCs and mobile devices, expanding the visions and reinforcing the physical concept of programming. But after realizing that the gaming market is immensely vast and full of competition, he began to evaluate a technology that is gaining ground in cyberspace.

It started with some investments in cryptocurrencies, and after evaluating the various projects in the market and the opportunity to get involved thanks to its IT skills, he founded CraftR, a decentralized P2P marketplace based on Ethereum technology that involves the buying and selling of creative assets through CraftR tokens.

What attracted you to digital currency and when?

In 2013 I started to be interested in the Bitcoin market, but at that time I had difficulty accessing it because of my poor IT skills. Experience has been gained consequently and in the meantime Bitcoin has become easier accessible.

In early 2017, I started investing with a friend in some projects. Initially I did not considered this opportunity to generate profits through investments with bitcoins, but after a few days I realized that I could earn a lot if I was aiming for the right project. After a few months, the decision to found a project based on this technology comes into play. With this technology I learned, and I will learn, many things both on the investor side and on the developer side.

How does a typical work day flow for you?

I wake up early in the morning and start immediately to dedicate my time to the project. First of all I do a bit of movement to put my body and mind into action, I drink a coffee and start planning the day. Given the different tasks that I have to perform, my days are totally dynamic.

I like to work independently and keep everything under control. Whenever possible, I carry out activities accompanied by good music to relax and concentrate better. Self-control is important in order not to overdo in the short terms.

What projects are you currently working on?

Now I am CEO and Lead Developer at CraftR project, founded in September 2017. The project concerns the development of a P2P marketplace focused on the digital creative assets made available to users by users, who can be defined as freelancers. The initiative will bring great economic and security benefits. For further informations, please visit our website https://craftr.io.

So far I have taken part in all the tasks (development, marketing, management, finances, human resources) and with the great support provided by the team, we are redeemed to bring the project in addition to what was initially planned. The outlook increases during the progress and as a result I feel more and more determined to carry out this project.

What’s your favorite thing about this industry?

One thing that I found immediately interesting, is the opportunity to participate in the advent of the new web generation through cryptocurrency and to contribute to its growth. This world is creating new opportunities that did not exist before. As a developer, I immediately understood that this industry represents the future and I immediately threw myself into it. Another big advantage is that Blockchain is bringing benefits in many areas of the technology’s industry.

What did you learn from your biggest failure?

So far I have had to endure many failures, but I have always learned to get up from them, in one way or another. Not always everything goes well but we live to learn. If you give too much importance to what you do, you may eventually be disappointed. So it is better not to overdo it too much and stay with your feet on the ground thinking of the present, the one who creates the future.
